TCFA/CICC Joint Reception and Recruiting
Dear TCFA Members:
The Chinese Finance Association (TCFA) proudly announces that the China International Capital Co (CICC) will host a reception and recruiting event in New York City on June 23, 2008 for Wall Street Chinese finance professionals. We encourage you to join this great event and welcome your participation. TCFA is also pleased to be CICC's local partner to make this event happen.
To attend this event, you have to registrate online before June 15. It is a free event to participate, but we can only take 200 people on a first-come, first-serve basis due to the space limit in the hotel. (more details...)
TCFA calls for donation for China Earthquake Victims
Dear members,
A powerful earthquake hit Sichuan Province of China on May 12. So far death toll exceeds 14,000 in Sichuan , many are still missing. On behalf of TCFA (The Chinese Finance Association) , we would like to express our best wishes to all our members, especially to those whose family members were in the affected areas. We would also like to take this opportunity to express our sympathy to those who have been affected, and to mourn those who lost their lives in the earthquake.
On behalf of its members and sponsors, TCFA has made a donation of $10,000 to Chinese Red Cross. TCFA directors, executives, advisors and key volunteers have already donated/pledged an additional $40,000 of their own money in the past 24 hours. (more details)

The Chinese Finance Association (TCFA) is a non-profit organization aimed at facilitating the exchange of ideas, knowledge and information on education, and research and practice in finance and related areas between the US and China. TCFA seeks to bring together the collective wisdom and expertise of Chinese scholars and professionals active in the fields of finance, accounting, money, and banking in an effort to help understand and develop the Chinese financial sector. It further seeks to promote rigorous academic research on financial reform issues using the foundations and methodologies of modern finance.

Moreover, TCFA seeks to improve the US academic and business world's understanding of China's changing social, economic, and business environment, and in particular her financial developments. TCFA will also serve as a meeting place where interested (especially Chinese) academics and practitioners can present their views and provide their services, enabling China and US to tap into a rich and unique pool of professional human resources.  In pursuit of these goals, TCFA will organize and sponsor a broad range of activities including original research projects, training programs, translations, publications, and international conferences. Regular member activities will include annual meetings, regular seminars & symposia, and field studies.
